Questions
The things people ask most often. If yours is not here, send it to me and I will answer it, and probably add it.
Ordering
›Is everything made to order?
Mostly. Some finished pieces are in stock and ready to ship, and those say so on their page under Availability. Everything else is made once you order it, in your size.
›How long will it take?
Ready-to-ship pieces go out in 3 to 7 business days. A made-to-order piece takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on complexity. A full custom commission takes 4 to 8 weeks, confirmed when we agree the design.
Shipping & Returns →›Can I buy directly on the site?
Not yet. Card checkout is coming. For now, send your details from the piece's page and I will hold it for you and email a payment link. Nothing is charged on the website itself.
›Do you take commissions?
Yes, and most of what I make is commissioned. Bring a stone, a sketch, a photograph of something you like, or just an idea and a budget. Everything is quoted and agreed before anything is cut.
Start an inquiry →Sizing
›How do I find my ring size?
The reliable way is to have a jeweller measure you, and any shop will do it in a minute for free. Failing that, measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits in millimetres and send me the number. Do not use string; it stretches and reads a size too large.
›What if I am buying a surprise?
Borrow a ring they already wear on the right finger and send me the inside diameter, or tell me their height and build and I will give you the most likely size. It is worth building in a resize either way.
›Can a piece be resized later?
Most rings can. Within 30 days of a custom order a resize is part of getting it right. After that, and after the first year, resizing is $50 for standard metals and $110 for platinum. Some pieces cannot be resized at all because of how they are made, and their page says so under Sizing.

›What metals do you work in?
10k, 14k and 18k gold in yellow, white and rose, sterling silver, and platinum. Each piece lists what it is made from, and the catalogue can be filtered by metal.
›Are the stones natural or lab grown?
Both, depending on the piece, and each piece says which under Stone. For a commission it is your choice, and I will explain what the difference means for the price and for the setting.
›Will sterling silver tarnish?
Yes, all sterling silver does. It is not a fault and it comes off easily. Wearing a piece regularly is the best prevention, since the oils from your skin slow it down.

›Where do you ship?
Across Canada and to the United States, tracked and insured. Shipping is free on Canadian orders over $500. Anywhere else is quoted case by case, so ask. Local pickup in Toronto is free.
Shipping & Returns →›Can I return something?
A ready-to-ship piece can be returned within 14 days, unworn and in its packaging, as long as you contact me first. Made-to-order pieces can be returned in the same window with a 15% restocking fee. Custom work is not returnable, because it was made for you, but if it does not match the design we agreed I will put it right.
Shipping & Returns →›What if something breaks?
Every piece carries a one-year warranty covering manufacturing faults, repaired or replaced at no charge with return shipping covered. Ordinary wear, loss and damage are not covered, but I repair those too for a quoted fee. Bring it back rather than taking it elsewhere.
Warranty & Care →›Do you service pieces you did not make?
Sometimes. Ask, and tell me what it is and what needs doing. Some repairs are straightforward and some risk damaging the piece, and I will say honestly which one yours is.
